COUNTDOWN TO 2008 KICKOFF
2008 Scioto Irish Football Camp
Join the Scioto Irish Football Staff for their 9th Annual Football Camp, June 16-19 from 9:30 a.m. to Noon on the Scioto football game and practice fields. Athletes will be coached by the Scioto Football staff and players on the FUNdamentals of football. Special attention will be given to the “skills” of football: passing, catching, running, and kicking, as well as blocking and tackling. This is a non-contact camp. Athletes will participate in touch football games each day. Thursday will be all competition with special awards for winners in each age group. All participants will receive a camp shirt and camp shorts. Shirts and shorts will be limited to the first 200 applicants. Many other prizes and awards will be given out each day of camp as well.
Irish After Five - August 16
This year's Irish After Five event will be on August 16 from 6 PM to 11 PM at "Made from Scratch". This event will include dinner and a silent auction. The cost is $30 per person. Please contact Lisa Gray if you have any questions or if you need more information.

OHSAA Academic Eligibility Reminder for 2nd Semester
All fall athletes must pass 5, 1 credit
courses 4th 9 weeks to be eligible by OHSAA. Students must also earn
a 2.0 GPA for the 4th 9 weeks to be eligible by Dublin City Schools
standards. 5 Credits would be made up of full year courses worth 1.0
credits and semester courses worth 0.5 credits. Office worker,
Physical Education are worth 0.25 credits in a semester and they do
not count towards eligibility standards. Student Athletes and
parents need to make sure they are taking at least the minimum number
of required courses.
